Single-family-home permits in August in Lee County were up slightly from a year ago while foreclosures stayed almost the same.

Jeff Tumbarello, director of the association and owner/broker of Steelbridge Realty in North Fort Myers, said there are now fewer new foreclosure filings than the number of houses sold at public auction.
